Due to the sweeping regulatory change brought on by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), companies are faced with meeting new compliance requirements. One of the main requirements is for food facilities to have a food defense plan. Companies are being challenged each day with new opportunities to better protect their assets, their employees, products and all their stakeholders. There is a growing demand for better security at companies across the nation. A company's survival could depend on how prepared they are to prevent and respond when disaster strikes.
CIFT, in partnership with Savour Food Safety International, is proud to present Rod Wheeler, founder of the Global Food Defense Institute, to bring this exciting, one-of-a-kind course from the only authority on food defense.
Rod is a nationally recognized expert in criminal investigation, law enforcement, Food Defense (FSMA) and a motivational speaker.
As the former Director of the Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness with the Food Products Association in Washington D.C., Rod created and developed an entire series of Homeland Security & Defense programs, to support many food processing, manufacturing and retail corporations in developing and implementing food safety, facility safety and security plans, procedures, guidelines and food tampering investigations. He also appears on FOX News Channel as a Law Enforcement/ Crime Analyst on air contributor.
