Karen Bakies, nutrition affairs director, American Dairy Association (ADA) Mideast, will discuss hot topics and trends in food and nutrition at the Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum, Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017 from 8 – 9:30 a.m.

While consumer interest in food and nutrition is at an all-time high, so is consumer confusion. It is not just consumption of food, but consumption of information about food that drives market changes and the desire to have reliable sources. Nutrition, agriculture and sustainability are no longer separate conversations but rather a continuum from how food is produced to what the nutrition label means and food’s journey to the table.

On behalf of dairy farmers, ADA Mideast provides timely, science based nutrition information to, and in collaboration with, a variety of stakeholders committed to fostering a healthier society, including educators, school nutrition directors, health professionals, academia, industry, consumers and media.

The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum is an educational networking opportunity to provide information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement.

The AIF is located at 13737 Middleton Pike (St. Rt. 582) in Bowling Green.  Walk-ins are welcome, but guests are encouraged to reserve a seat in advance.
