Position Summary

As a Business Development Specialist at CIFT, you will play a vital role in promoting innovation, technical assistance, and business acceleration tools to food processors and manufacturers. This position supports both financial growth for our organization and success for the clients we serve. You’ll lead outreach efforts, manage projects delivered by third-party service providers, and serve as a key connector across a wide network of companies and economic development partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage new business clients and partners to expand CIFT’s reach.
• Promote CIFT’s services and special initiatives to meet client needs.
• Serve as project manager for client work performed by external service providers.
• Maintain strong relationships with business leaders and regional economic development agencies.
• Conduct outreach and networking to surface industry needs and offer tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions and measure their effectiveness.
• Evaluate industry trends, review reports, and provide input on strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred, or
• 5+ years of experience in business development, client services, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with manufacturing operations and supply chains is a plus.
