Our team at CIFT is driven by the goal of helping small businesses achieve their business goals. NOSH Butters, is a craft nut butter manufacturer. Founded by Sam and Laura Trohman in 2018, NOSH Butters started as a modest venture with limited experience in the food manufacturing industry. However, they had a dream of growing their business.
When NOSH Butters aimed to expand their market presence, they encountered a significant challenge: acquiring GFSI certification, a requirement by many retail buyers. Recognizing the importance of this certification, they decided on SQF certification and partnered with Eagle Certification Group as their certifying body.
Connected through Eagle’s Resource Provider Program Database, NOSH sought assistance from CIFT to ensure they were fully prepared for their initial certification audit. Our Food Safety and Operations Program Manager, Stacy Vernon, conducted a gap assessment to evaluate NOSH’s compliance with the stringent SQF code. Stacy assisted and coached the NOSH team through the development and implementation of essential programs.
In the final stretch before their certification audit, Stacy conducted a comprehensive internal audit, addressing any remaining gaps and ensuring NOSH was well-prepared. The culmination of NOSH Butters’ hard work and dedication came to fruition during the audit, where they achieved an Excellent rating.
