"How MarketMaker can help Buyers Find Farmers"

This presentation will provide an overview of the MarketMaker Application and how it works, why it was developed, who developed it, how the application has grown, and how it can benefit buyers and sellers in expanding their market opportunities and supply chain. Michelle will also provide information and updates on how and why Central State University got involved in helping expand this important application.

Michelle Wallace

Michelle Wallace has a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University. She also has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems from the University of Toledo. Michelle has a total of 14 years of experience working in Agriculture and Natural Resource Extension. She spent 10 ½ years working for North Carolina State University as an Agricultural Extension Agent and 3 ½ years working for Central State University Extension as an Agriculture and Natural Resource Extension Educator. Michelle moved to Ohio in 2015. Michelle grew up on a Kibbutz in Israel where she worked on the farm with her dad in the Kiwi Vineyard and Apple Orchard. Her husband is a professor in the business college at the University of Toledo. She has two children. Her daughter is graduating this May with her undergraduate degree and will be going to graduate school in Syracuse this fall for Library Science. Her son is also pursuing a bachelor’s degree currently at the University of Toledo.
