(Online and in person) May Agribusiness Forum : Energy Development in Agriculture

Business-Forum

Join us on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the NOCK in Bowling Green, or online, for an engaging and timely conversation about the role of Ohio’s farm and agribusiness leaders in shaping the future of energy development.

As energy infrastructure evolves faster than ever before, those in agriculture must understand how projects will affect their operations and communities. Whether it’s a wind or solar project, pipeline, or utility upgrade, too often farmers are approached with contracts they feel pressure to sign quickly, sometimes literally on the hood of a truck.

Speaker: Dale Arnold
Director, Energy, Utility and Local Government Policy, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation

Dale Arnold will break down the types and scale of current and future energy projects, the legal and regulatory frameworks surrounding them, and the easements and leases that are often proposed. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of their rights, the implications of different agreements, and how to make informed decisions for their business and land.
